Our Premium 8-Frame Starter Colonies are medium-sized colonies of bees with a laying queen and brood, ready to expand into a larger hive. These are an ideal colony of bees for Beginner Beekeepers looking to start their beekeeping straight away with an accelerated start in beekeeping. Perfect for your Flow Hive starter and ready for a honey super - particularly beneficial to our Flow Hive Customers eager to get their first honey harvest or if you need a little more flexibility on when you want to receive your bees.
When you receive your 8-Frame Starter Colony it will consist of:
- A mated Italian Queen Bee from good genetic stock,
- Approximately 20,000 gentle bees,
- 8 frames of drawn out comb
- At least 5 frames of drawn out brood
- Honey and pollen
- Care guidebook and on site mentoring upon pick up or delivery
